In partnership with the GivePower Foundation, NYELEC and its clients now have the opportunity to make a difference in tens of thousands of lives. 

GivePower has developed an innovative solar-powered desalination system that is sustainable and highly cost-effective. With this desalination plant, a simple $20 investment can give one person access to safe drinking water for at least 20 years.

NYELEC proudly donates three per cent of all turnover to GivePower for every electrical, solar and air-conditioning installation we complete, with these donations contributing directly to a specific project in Nepal. By working with us, you’ll not only enjoy all of the benefits of our service, but will also be helping those who need help most.

What’s even better is that GivePower doesn’t use a single cent of our donations for its wages, overheads or any other costs involved in providing their service. Instead, GivePower is sponsored by multiple large companies that donate directly in order to offset all overhead costs, enabling all public donations to go directly to helping remote communities.

NYELEC’s current goal is to contribute $100,000 - from this, $50,000 will go towards building a small desalination plant; $30,000 towards an off-grid battery solar system; and the remaining $20,000 to the transport of materials and logistics. 

Once we meet this goal, we’ll work with a small team and trek to the project site in Nepal to install off-grid battery solar and electrical systems to process the desalination plant for the village.
